Important Interconnections
In the previous article, we talked about 3 marketing tools that, in 2018, are essential to communicate: Catalogues, Websites, Social Networks.
• How can these 3 areas interact with each other?
• What resources intersect to achieve excellent communication?
Let’s start with the catalogues… “the gun in the sales force belt :)”
We have written about a return to high quality printing, lowered print runs and increased publication frequency, in order to always have the need to be at the point of sale and with frequent news.
Photography is one of the first activities to build a good catalogue (besides the famous basic concept).
As we all know, most of the time, pictures, unlike words, describe the product much better in more ways than one (read this article on how pictures help sell more in an e-commerce).
If high quality, high definition shots are taken for print, the same images will then be used for the website and social.
Thanks to the introduction of the QR, video insights can be included on certain technical pages, for example, if I am in a lighting catalogue and we are in the recessed systems chapter, the QR could point to a video where we can see how to build a recessed hole and how to install the lamp. The interaction?
Multiple interactions!
Videos can be uploaded to a tutorial section of the site, thus creating a dedicated section.
If a LAB part is opened within the site, the sales force would have a technical explanation tool and customer service a useful tool to speed up assistance.
Having video material explaining the product in depth will also be effective in facilitating planning on social media.
Below you can see some examples of how some companies use video to explain their products:
Companies will have to deal with a lot of material creation, which will increase costs and that is why lump sum packages of marketing material creation are prepared.
These listed are some of the interactions between tools, think also of packaging becoming more and more interactive, but that is another story that we will discuss later.
